Into the Wild

Educational Excursions with WildAssist Africa

Ever wondered what it’s like to track rhinos, immobilize wild African predators and megaherbivores, monitor vultures, or explore the challenges of conservation, One Health (the recognition that human, animal, and environmental health are deeply interconnected), and wildlife forensics in the African bush? Our educational excursions offer all this - and more.

WildAssist Africa’s hands-on excursions are designed for students, vets, researchers, and wildlife enthusiasts who want more than just a safari. These two-week programs combine real fieldwork with expert-led learning, covering topics such as conservation medicine, human-wildlife conflict, wildlife crime scene awareness, and conflict mitigation strategies.

Participants don’t just watch from the sidelines, they take part in the action. From collaring predators to assisting with vaccination and neutering drives in local communities, these programs provide unforgettable insight into the realities of African conservation.

Whether you’re studying veterinary science, conservation biology, ecology, forensic science, or simply have a passion for wildlife, our excursions are a powerful way to learn, contribute, and connect.

New dates for upcoming programs will be announced soon - check our “Upcoming Events” section on WildAssist’s website and stay tuned!
